Query letters were issued to defalters having failed to comply by the attendance rule. He also welcomed all batch A corps members fully into the local government and encouraged them to be of good conduct and emulate  how the good crop of batch B members behave so as to get accustomed to the system.

GOOD NEWS: Nigeria Army sorrounds Boko Haram base in Sambisa forest

The Nigerian army has said that the deadly Boko Haram sect is currently locked in Sambisa forest, the notorious enclave of the insurgents. The terrorists reportedly cannot come out to launch attack on the rest of the nation. KUMUYI : Brighter days ahead for Nigerians

Image
The General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, has called on Nigerians not to panic because of the current socio-economic and security challenges, assuring that the nation would soon overcome the woes and become better. The popular cleric spoke yesterday in Warri, Delta State, ahead of his one-day bible study programme, calling on the Federal Government to dialogue with Niger Delta stakeholders to end renewed militancy in the region. While pointing out that the need for the nation’s restructuring should not lead to its division, he said all hands must be on deck to work for Nigeria’s progress and fight against its division. According to him, “We should not worry ourselves too much on the issue. We should rather think of how we can move the country forward because too much talk about restructuring does not mean Nigeria will break up. “The solution is that we should begin to dialogue. Stakeholders should reason together and s...

Good morning . I must confess its been a while. But above all, let's give thanks to God supreme; giver and taker of life . Let's quickly go through today's quote. Enjoy People will these days rather not HEAR what you have to say...but, SEE what you have to say. yeah. People now see spoken words. They see the words in the way you act... Look at it this way; 1. Whatever man thinks in his heart, so he is. You are what you think you are. 2. Our thoughts make up our speech. You can't say a thing if it's not a product of the many thoughts going on in your head. 3. So, based on 1 & 2, If your Thoughts = Speech automatically, Thought = Personality. You see the logic now? People will now just prefer to watch what you have to say than to hear them. THINK WELL, ACT WELL AND SPEAK WELL Have a lovely day.

It's the beginning of a new month.  So, let's start off with a quick alert which is: Less than four  (4)! Months left for the current 2015 Batch B set of corps members. 4 months is quite enough to do something tangible for the community you're in.  Just as  the LI said during last CDS meeting,  "no matter how little the time left is, something (s) can still be achieved in terms of projects and sensitizations" . From the Publicity CDS group we wish you the very best in this month of June.

Sports ; 5 Things to look out for at Euro 2016

Image
With the domestic season now finished, Ben Lyttleton looks ahead to what awaits us at Euro 2016 in France. With less than two weeks before the start of the European Championship, and the deadline for squads to be submitted coming on Tuesday, expectations are building ahead of what will be a fascinating tournament in France. Here are some storylines which we can expect to hear more of once the kick-off comes around next month. Complaints about the format Eighteen months of qualifying can seem terribly dreary when most fans are able to predict the identity of the final tournament teams once the qualifiers have been drawn. That was not the case this time around, with the increased format to 24 teams in France making the qualifiers far more exciting, with shocks including Slovakia beating Spain, Ireland beating Germany, Albania beating Portugal, and Netherlands missing out altogether. One argument for the larger teams slipping up was that, quite simply, they could, because the enlarged...

Text of National Broadcast by President Muhammadu Buhari

My compatriots: It is one year today since our administration came into office. It has been a year of triumph, consolidation, pains and achievements. By age, instinct and experience, my preference is to look forward, to prepare for the challenges that lie ahead and rededicate the administration to the task of fixing Nigeria. But I believe we can also learn from the obstacles we have overcome and the progress we made thus far, to help strengthen the plans that we have in place to put Nigeria back on the path of progress. We affirm our belief in democracy as the form of government that best assures the active participation and actual benefit of the people. Despite the many years of hardship and disappointment, the people of this nation have proved inherently good, industrious tolerant, patient and generous.  The past years have witnessed huge flows of oil revenues. From 2010 average oil prices were $100 per barrel. But economic and security conditions were deteriorating. We campaig...
