PRESS RELEASE TO ALL SCMs IN YAKURR LGA

Good day, fellow compatriots. As our raison d’être dictates, we in the Publicity CDS group deem it important to always acquaint you with necessary pieces of information as they come up. To this end, we’ve decided to write this brief release in order to put you in know of some latest developments.

1| CLEARANCE
The January Clearance exercise will hold on the 4th, January, 2016. All serving Corps members are expected to be available for this important exercise. The Yakurr Local Government Inspector, Mr Dominic Brown, has also made it clear that the exercise won’t involve Batch B 2016 Corps members.

2| MONTHLY BULLETIN
As part of our mandate to create awareness platforms for Corps members in Yakurr LGA, we came up with the idea of a Monthly Bulletin, named The Fountain, to report (activities like sensitisation), inform and improve pen creativity among Corps members. Barring any last minute changes, the first edition for the month of December is in the offing and shall, by the grace of God, be published and launched after this festive period. Your contributions shall be appreciated.

3| DINNER
It has been the tradition that Corps members, nearing POP, hold parties in shards. We, in the Publicity CDS group, believe it could be better if they’re all harmonised. In this light, we took responsibility and came up with the classic alternative of a Dinner where we can all attend and have beautiful memories (pictures) of our flourishing friendships! So much efforts have gone into this and we enjoy the support of the Local Government (for security), the LI and the amiable CDS Presidents. Details of the Dinner (like venue, fee, mode of payment etc) shall be communicated in due course but due to exigencies (and many of us are at home), we’d like to inform you that the dress code is anything ‘Dinnertable’ but WITH A TOUCH OF RED. It’s going to be fun. #StayWoke!

Colleagues, there are many other issues to be aware of (like the PROPOSED Projects Week) but we wouldn’t like to bore you with a treatise. In the meantime, we’d advise you to stay safe and do everything to remain patriotic. Compliments of the season. Have a great break. Enjoy!

Thank you.

God bless Nigeria!
